New Delhi, Aug 7 - The Lok Sabha was adjourned Friday after members of the main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) created an uproar over corruption cases against union minister Virbhadra Singh and the son of former home minister Buta Singh.
Raising the issue during zero hour, BJP's Rakesh Singh expressed concern over 'corruption in high places' and cited the cases against Steel Minister Virbhadra Singh and Sarabjot Singh, the son of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Commission chairman Buta Singh.
Several party members were already on their feet over the issue and the BJP's deputy leader in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj, demanded they be allowed to raise it during zero hour since a notice for a special discussion on this had been turned down by the speaker.
