New Delhi, Aug 5 - President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday celebrated 'Raksha Bandhan' with children here Wednesday.
The president met 105 children from 17 organisations and schools at the Rashtrapati Bhavan including some who were mentally and physically challenged, an official statement said.
Some of them were from Delhi and the others from neighbouring towns such as Rewari, Gwalior, Panipat, Kapurthala and Faridabad.
The president spent distributed sweets and gifts to them to the children, who had a round of Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Mughal Gardens.
Manmohan Singh celebrated the festival with students from 12 different schools and women from Brahmakumaris World Spiritual University who called on him at his residence here.
United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi also celebrated Raksha Bandhan with school children at her residence.
