Chandigarh, Aug 2 - Haryana government officials failing to write the annual confidential reports (ACRs) of their subordinates on time will soon find red entries in their own records, official spokesman said Sunday.
'Haryana officers who fail to write the ACRs of their subordinates in time will have to be ready to face disciplinary action as this lapse on their part will be reflected in their own ACRs,' an order by the state chief secretary said.
For the ACRs already delayed by seniors, the chief secretary has given a 10-day deadline for their completion and submission, the official spokesman added.
He added: 'The government has taken a serious note of the fact that in spite of repeated instructions, ACRs of the subordinates are not written by the officers in time. Disciplinary action is required to be taken against the officers who fail to comply with the government instructions regarding this.'
As per rules, ACRs are to be completed by May 15 each year.
In case of delay, the service matters of the officials concerned are kept on pending and acute hardship is faced on this account alone.
