Noida, July 27 - A man and his wife, married for the last seven years and with two children, were Monday found hanged from an electric pole and a tree in Noida, Delhi's suburban town in uttar Pradesh, police said.
Noida police said they were clueless whether it was a suicide or murder as the bodies bore injury marks, and were now awaiting autopsy reports.
The bodies of Pappu Katiyar of Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh and his wife Chatto, originally from Kolkata, were noticed in the morning by passers-by in this township's Sector 15A adjoining the national capital.
The couple was living in Delhi after their marriage in 2002. Their two kids are at present with their maternal grandfather in Khan Market in Delhi.
Police said the couple had a strained relationship and had applied for divorce in a court.
