London, July 23 - After her break up with millionaire Jay Jopling, British singer Lily Allen was keen to date someone outside the celebrity circuit when she met Sam Cooper, a man who works as a house painter and decorator.

According to thesun.co.uk, Allen split from the 45-year-old art dealer Jopling and has now moved on to Cooper who is not connected to the entertainment world in any way. The two recently met at a restaurant in Mayfair.

A source said: 'Lil is tired of only ever being involved with well-known blokes. She wanted to go out with someone her own age who isn't involved in music or the media. Sam is really down to earth. He grafts hard for a living as a painter and decorator and leads a totally normal life. Lily is completely smitten with him. They have known each other for a while but have only just started dating properly.'
