New Delhi, July 18 - All India Tennis Association (AITA) secretary-general Anil Khanna has been re-elected to the International Tennis Federation (ITF) board of directors for the fourth successive time.
Khanna, who is the president of Asian Tennis Federation (ATF), has been chosen as the sole representative from the continent.
The decision was taken in the ITF Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Madrid Friday in which six members were re-elected in the 12-member board. The new board will serve till 2011.
The other five members were Juan Margets (Spain), Ismail El Shafei (Egypt), Franklin Johnson (US), Geoff Pollard (Australia) and Georg Von Waldenfels (Germay).
They were joined by six new members: Jacques Dupre (France), Lucy Garvin (US), Jack Graham (Canada), Chris Kypriotis (Brazil), Roman Murashovsky (Russia) and Stuart Smith (Great Britain).
Briton David Jude was also confirmed as ITF Honorary Treasurer.
More than 300 delegates, partners and staff from 96 nations attended the meet held over the last two-and-a-half days in Madrid, and hosted by the Spanish Tennis Federation.
