Mumbai, Sep 23 - Kalavati Bandurkar, a farmer's widow who became the face of the common people after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spoke of her plight in parliament, is not only fighting the Maharashtra assembly elections but also campaigning for the 'third front'.
Bandurkar, 48, will campaign for the Republican Left Democratic Front (RLDF), Vidarbha Jan Andolan Samiti (VJAS) president Kishor Tiwari told IANS late Wednesday.
The RLDF is known as the 'third front' in the state as it will be fighting against the ruling Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) alliance and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party-Shiv Sena coalition.
'Kalavati will file her nomination from the Wani constituency in Yavatmal district friday,' Tiwari said.
The election will be held Oct 13.
