Chandigarh, Sep 18 - The Election Commission Friday issued the notification for the Haryana assembly elections next month.
Elections to the 90-member assembly will be held Oct 13.
As per the notification, nominations can be filed from Friday up to Sep 25 and scrutiny of papers will take place Sep 26.
The last date for the withdrawal of candidature is Sep 29. Polling will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct 13 and the votes will be counted Oct 22.
The incumbent Congress government in Haryana led by Bhupinder Singh Hooda had got the assembly dissolved in August this year, seven months before its term ended.
While the main opposition party, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), has declared its candidates for 42 seats, the ruling Congress is yet to announce its list.
Other parties like the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) are also likely to announce their candidates in the next two or three days.
