London, Sep 13 - Hollywood actor Elijah Wood fears technology will lead to the downfall of humanity.

The 28-year-old actor thinks modern technology could ruin the world, reports digitalspy.co.uk.

'All we have to do is look at how ingrained we are into technology that continues to evolve at a faster rate than we can imagine. I remember a time when we didn't have cell phones and now they have computing power greater than probably the first laptop I owned,' he said.

'It's madness. If it gets out of control and if it's used for the wrong reasons or if it takes us away from our own humanity, then maybe that will be our downfall,' he added.
