London, Sep 10 - Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner has filed for divorce 11 years after splitting from his wife Kimberley Conrad, claiming 'irreconcilable differences'.
Hefner, who parted with his second wife Conrad in 1998 after nine years of marriage has cited 'irreconcilable differences' in papers filed in Los Angeles, reports people.com.
'I would've been happy to divorce her when we separated, but she wanted to remain married for our boys,' said the 83-year-old who has two sons with Conrad, 19-year-old Marston and Cooper, 18.
Added Conrad's lawyer: 'Mr. Hefner's divorce filing speaks for itself, and we'll respond in due course.'
Hefner has reportedly claimed their relationship failed because the former Playboy Playmate cheated on him.
The magazine chief who has several live-in girlfriends at the Playboy mansion finally decided to end his marriage because Conrad filed a $5 million lawsuit against him last month which was linked to the sale of one of their houses.
