London, Sep 9 - Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney has said that he feels blessed to have known former bandmate John Lennon who was murdered.

McCartney and Lennon had a tumultuous relationship during the legendary group's later years, with their arguing often blamed for the band's eventual split in 1970. They, however, reconciled later that decade before Lennon's murder in New York in 1980 and McCartney admits he never thinks about the bad times with his late bandmate, reports ok.co.uk.

'What I do is I look for the positive side... I'm the only guy who sat down with John and wrote all those songs. It's me. (I've) got to pinch myself, I can't believe it. I just feel blessed to have known him and to have experienced his presence so intimately,' said McCartney.
