Noida, Sep 7 - A two-day-old infant girl was found abandoned in a forested area here Monday, police said.
'The infant was discovered by a woman named Radha, who was passing through the forested Morna area near Sector 35,' a police officer said.
Radha brought the new-born to the Sector 39 police station and the infant was immediately rushed to the government hospital, where she is being currently kept in the nursery ward.
'The baby is in good and healthy condition,' a doctor at the hospital Naresh Raj said.
According to Raj, the baby was born in the same hospital two days back and they suspect the mother of the child to be a woman named Kiran.
'We are looking for Kiran who had given birth to the girl child and is since missing after abandoning the baby in this way. If she's found, action will be taken against her,' Senior Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar said.
