New Delhi, Sep 7 - All projects related to the Commonwealth Games, to be hosted here next year, will be completed as per the schedule and well before the event, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said Monday.
She visited the Thyagraj Stadium, being reconstructed near the INA Colony at a cost of nearly Rs.3 billion, to assess progress work.
'All infrastructure being developed for the Games is bound to be green infrastructure, hence, Thyagraj Stadium would have a green look with chairs having a green shade,' Dikshit said.
The stadium will be the venue of the netball tournament and will also be used for practice.
She asked the public works department (PWD) to provide clean public conveniences.
'It would take two months to complete all remaining works. All international standards would be kept in mind while laying synthetic athletic track. Apart from this adequate security arrangements are being ensured,' said an official statement here.
