New Delhi, Sep 3 - An unemployed youngster Thursday stabbed a man to death for denying him a beedi, Delhi Police said.
Mohan Lal, 55, was stabbed allegedly by Raj Kumar, 24, at his Bapa Nagar residence in central Delhi around 4.30 a.m., a senior police official said.
Mohan Lal's nephew Manoj, who reported the murder to police, said he heard some noise from Mohan Lal's room and when he went to check, he saw Raj Kumar stabbing his uncle with a broken tubelight on his chest.
Mohan Lal was taken to the Lady Hardinge Medical College Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Raj Kumar, who was arrested from Dev Nagar area near Karol Bagh, told police that he used to visit Mohan Lal's home and give him company.
