New Delhi, Aug 31 - India's N. Prashanth dispatched wildcard Akash Wagh, 6-2, 6-0 to enter the second round of the $10,000 International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournament at the DLTA complex here Monday.
Prashanth next plays the winner of the match between sixth-seeded Japanese Kento Takeuchi and Briton Tim Bradshaw.
In the other two singles matches, Rohan Gide advanced to the second round when Australian K. Balakrishnan retired due to abdominal pain, trailing 2-6, 0-2 and so did wildcard Johnny Arcilla of Phillipines when Indian Vivek Shokeen conceded midway trailing, 4-6, 0-2 due to exhaustion.
