New Delhi, Aug 27 - A city court Thursday convicted two members of terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed for possessing explosives. The two were arrested with RDX in the national capital in 2006.

Additional Sessions Judge Madhu Jain held Mohd Iqbal Jaan and Mustaq Ahmed Kallu guilty under the Explosive Substances Act. Two kg RDX and Rs.500,000 were recovered from the two, arrested Nov 27, 2006.

The court is likely to pronounce the sentence Sep 8.

The two, hailing from Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir and members of the Pakistan-based JeM, were charged with various offences including waging war against the country, under the Indian Penal Code, for possessing explosives under the Explosive Substances Act and for being a member of a terror organisation under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

According to the prosecution, the two had brought the explosives from Deoband in Uttar Pradesh to Delhi for carrying out the blasts.
