New Delhi, Aug 25 - The multi-million dollar Satyam scam, which made headlines earlier this year and is currently being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), will be a key topic of discussion at the 17th Biennial Conference of the CBI and state Anti-Corruption Bureaus (ACB) starting here Wednesday.
The conference aimed at strengthening the country's anti-corruption mechanism will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The two-day conference would have seven sessions during which several presentations and discussions would be made.
The topics covered under these sessions are to be: Anti-corruption work in the Karnataka Lokayukta (Ombudsman); innovation as a tactical tool to combat corruption; good practices followed by anti-corruption agencies, the Satyam scam; investigation of anti-corruption cases - technological perspectives; capacity building for Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) and state FSLs; vigilance aspects in public procurement and tendering processes and contemporaneous issues, said an official statement.
