Srinagar, Aug 24 - Seven paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were injured when militants attacked a local hotel used as a camp in the posh tourist hub of Dalgate in Srinagar late Monday evening.
A senior police officer said the guerrillas tossed a powerful hand grenade which fell and exploded inside the hotel complex, housing the headquarters of CRPF's 162nd battalion.
'Seven troopers were wounded in the explosion,' the officer said, adding they were taken to hospital for treatment.
Doctors at the Soura Medical Institute described the condition of two troopers as serious.
Security forces have launched a search in the area around the hotel building.
No guerrilla group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
