Ghaziabad, Sep 25 - A 20-year-old girl from Ghaziabad has accused her father of raping her for the past several years, police said Friday.

The girl, who is studying MBA in a private college here, complained to police Thursday night and a first information report was filed.

Senior Superintendent of Police Akhil Kumar said: 'The girl's medical examination indicated that she had habitual sexual behaviour. We have registered a case of rape against her father Riyazuddin at Sahibabad and he has been detained.'

The girl's mother, however, denied any knowledge of the crime and defended her husband.

'This has never come to my notice. My daughter never complained to me about any such thing. Her charges against my husband are absolutely false and baseless. We live in a single room. How can this happen in such a small space,' she asked.

The family, which also includes two sons and a daughter, stays at Sanjay Colony in Arthala locality of Mohan Nagar.
