Moga (Punjab), Sep 25 - The bodies of two minor children, missing since Thursday evening, were found in the paddy fields in this Punjab district, police said. Both had apparently been strangled.
According to the police, Aman (11) and his brother Om (7) had left their home Thursday evening for tuition. When they did not return home till late, their parents registered a missing complaint with the local police and feared the two had been kidnapped.
'We found the bodies of the two kids, who went missing on Thursday, in the paddy fields today (Friday) on the Moga-Sirhind road. There are marks on their neck so it seems that they were strangled to death with a rope,' a senior police official said.
Police had registered a case against unknown assailants and started investigations.
Moga is around 200 km from the state capital Chandigarh.
