Kolkata, Sep 21 - A woman, arrested at Kolkata airport for travelling on a forged passport, was sent to seven days judicial custody by a West Bengal court Monday.
According to police sources, Jyoti Rana, 40, was remanded in seven days judicial custody by the Barrackpore court Monday afternoon.
Rana, a resident of New Delhi's Uttam Nagar area, was arrested Sunday night at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) airport here while she was travelling from Bangkok to New Delhi via Kolkata. Three forged passports were seized from her.
'We received five sim cards, one of which is from Pakistan, and three forged passports from Rana,' North 24-Parganas police superintendent Rahul Srivastava said, adding that the Delhi Police have been informed about the arrest and probably a team will soon come to take her into their custody.
