New Delhi, Sep 21 - Nitin Luthra, a promising young journalist who had just joined as director and news editor of India Strategic defence magazine, died early Monday morning of a sudden heart attack. He was only 32.
Nitin, as he was popularly known among the media fraternity, was a writer on defence affairs. He began his career by joining Reuters in 2000 and in 2007, shifted to Dow Jones Newswires. Just a couple of months ago, he moved to India Strategic to strengthen its management and editorial team.
Nitin was known to be a workaholic, and was addicted to working on computers even at odd hours. Nitin had also produced TV documentaries on various subjects.
He is survived by his wife and a four-year-old son. He was the son of Gulshan Luthra, a noted writer on strategic affairs.
