New Delhi, Sep 15 - Top seeded Indian Poojashree Venkatesha cruised into the second round of the $10,000 International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournament, beating Israel's Ester Masuri 6-3, 6-2 at the DLTA complex here Tuesday.
Poojashree, who last week won her third ITF title at her home turf in Bangalore, next plays Japanese Moe Kawatoko.
Eighth-seeded Rushmi Chakravarthi showed the door to Australian Renee Binnie, beating her 6-1, 6-0.
Also advancing to the second round was fourth-seeded Indian Isha Lakhani who defeated Chinese Nan-Nan Zhang 6-2, 6-4.
